This tool was designed with South Tyneside Council as a way of maximising the use of social clauses in procurement. A database of existing social clauses is matched against the various procurement categories used by the council. This means that when a procurement professional is implementing a procurement they can search by relevant clause to that type of procurement (for example training ) or by more generic clauses such as local community that have been used elsewhere. The tool incorporates full version tracking to allow for new clauses to emerge and also tracks impacts. Finally the results are compiled into a case study that can be uploaded to the Procurement Cupboard.
